A Look at Good Minerals and Vitamins to Treat Hair Loss

by healthy on August 9, 2011

Most people don’t consume the foods that they should on a daily basis. Although fitness and health have become more prominent in people’s minds, fast food and snacks have also become an integral part of our lives. Even if you’re young and thin enough that you don’t think your eating habits are taking any tolls on your body, there are so many ways that lack of proper diet does affect your body systems later on in life. Hair loss can result from a lack of essential vitamins if the hair follicles don’t get enough nutrients.

Vitamin A supplements are very common as long as you don’t overdo it. If its taken excessively, it can lead to hair loss since its not water soluble. It’s not very good to get too much vitamin A although some is required for proper functioning.

Biotin, also known as vitamin H, can be found in egg yolks, milk, and yeast. Taking this vitamin will help prevent your hair from falling our or turning gray. It’s also important to get enough protein in order to keep your hair strong. This nutrient is found in meat and poultry and has been found to be the material that 90% of hair is made up of. That’s why protein is found in many different brands of conditioners and shampoos.

In the case of the B vitamins, though, the hair loss you may sustain is a good thing. The follicles will become stronger after taking these vitamins and be less prone to damage. Whole grains, beans, potatoes, and bananas are all good sources of B vitamins. B vitamins are antioxidants just like A and E vitamins. Not only do they make your hair healthier and stronger, they also get rid of impurities in your body.

If you don’t get enough zinc or iron, you may also suffer abnormal hair loss. If you eat plenty of foods that contain these minerals, you may start regrowing your hair. You can get a lot of zinc by eating red meat, and you’ll find that it will also help improve your sex life. Pantothenic Acid is also important to have in order to have a healthy scalp. Cells need this acid in order to convert food into energy. You can experience many different problems without this nutrient such as hair loss and constipation.

It’s easy to get lulled into thinking that since your hair is on the outside of your body, it shouldn’t matter what you put into your body because it can’t possibly affect it. However, now you should know why taking the right minerals and vitamins can help prevent hair loss.Doc No.lkhjsdklsd-ssj

Good advice. People could also try using aromatherapy in conjunction with these supplements. Certain essential oils can help stimulate the circulation to the base of the hair follicle, therefore encouraging hair growth. Other essential oils and base vegetable oils can be helpful in conditioning the scalp and hair shaft.
