The key to being able to eat the things you like is to think about how they will affect you before you eat them. Try the grilled chicken instead of the fried chicken and wrap up some of the dinner to take home. In addition to helping you lose weight if you package up part of a dinner you buy when you go up and bring it home, you will also save money.
