There are a number of new medications available on the market, as acid reflux has become more commonly diagnosed. We are often in a hurry to get somewhere, and don’t have the time to prepare an acid-sensitive meal, or involve ourselves in regular exercise regimens.
Acid reflux is one of those diseases that can be partially–if not totally–alleviated by taking better care of ourselves. The acid in our stomachs can eat away at the lining of the esophagus, leading to pain and potentially harmful side effects. Eating too many spicy foods, not exercising enough, and not taking the time to digest a healthy meal mean we are at a greater risk for acid reflux.
