Girdle For Love Handles – The Truth About Love Handles Girdles

by feedme on April 23, 2009

Have you ever considered a girdle for love handles? Do you know girdles are being used by people during the elimination phase as a way to keep those pesky love handles in check while they work on them with methods such as exercise?

Now for those men reading this don’t be too worried – they are an excellent alternative while you work on your “handles” and the best part is, no one really had to know you have one on.

One of the most popular types is a compression girdle. They are effective in hiding your problem but don’t really advertise to the world that someone is wearing one. In this article, we look look a little deeper into the use of girdles and if it’s not for you, then that’s okay.

Besides, we don’t recommend you make a habit of wearing them because the most sensible solution to keeping love handles in check is to get rid of them completely.

Girdles For Love Handles

Holding in the flabby side fat pockets requires a firm girdle that rides high on the waist. Women can buy full body girdles that include panties and bra, or end at the bra line. Having a girdle for love handles that is a one piece keeps it in place easier than those with a waistband but men commonly wear a girdle that ends just below the pecs.

Man girdles are often called ‘murdles’ but they amount to the same thing that women wear to make clothes fit better and their bodies look sleeker.

Girdles for Men

It is important to understand that because men and women’s bodies are shaped differently girdles made for them must be shaped differently as well. Men looking to control love handles need to seek out a girdle for love handles made specifically for their bodies.

Measure your waist and buy a girdle marked for a waist size one size smaller. The only way to compress those flabby love handles is to get a tight fit. However, you do not want to get a girdle that is smaller than one size less than your actual waist size because it will roll rather than stay put.
Nothing is more embarrassing than having the waist band of your girdle for love handles roll down and bulk up under your trousers.

Measuring Girdles

Measure your ‘stride’. A llove handles girdle are measured from the top seam of the crotch area to the waist band to ensure it will ride up at the proper area just below your pectoral muscles. To find your stride measure from your groin to just under your pecs; an even better way is to visit a corsetiere and try on a variety of sizes to find the perfect fit.

Fitting a woman for a girdle for love handles simply requires measuring the waist size. Just as for men it is important to buy a girdle one size smaller than the waistline suggests for a tight fit that is not so tight it will roll down.

About 3 years ago as I became older I started to gain weight, I went from 180 to now 225. The weight all went in my stomach – I found that I actually liked being fat, but the key was to be fit and fat not obese, but the only problem I came across since the weight was in my stomach and I have a mild case of scolosis that I started to have lower back pains. I decided the solution would be to go to a Professional Corsetier and be fitted in a girdle. I set up an appointment and went to her office, I found her very nice and very professional. She sat me down and she started with consulting me, she told me that just looking at me that it was quite obvious I needed to be in a very firm boned and zippered panty girdle that would hold and support my stomach. She asked me my life style am I active or not, I am fairly active but I also do a fair amount of work around computer. She then measued me and recommended Rago 6210. She also told me the key to wearing a girdle and to get the most amount of being girdled is the right way to put a girdle on. She had me lie down on a bed pull my legs up and lean way back this pulled my stomach up to my chest then she had me pull up the girdle hook up the hook and eyes and pull up the zipper – then she had me stand up. I found an immediate positive effect – it felt fantastic and I like how I looked and felt, I had never experienced anything quite like it. She told me what was quite important is to relax my stomach muscles and let the girdle just hold and support me – she said this would take a little time and I would become use to being in a girdle. I was also amazed as I relaxed my stomach muscles and let the girdle just support my stomach how much increased energy and confidence I had. I really like how the girdle molds and smooths me out. The corsetier also told me that part of wearing girdle becomes a habit and to establish the habit I should put a girdle into my daily routine – wake up shower put on a girdle. Now I am at the point I do not feel dressed or right unless I am in a girdle and I have never felt so great. I wear a girdle when just relaxing around the house. In looking back I can not understand why both females and males do not wear girdles, it is completly beyond me after my experience.

Do these girdles leave enough room in the groin area. I have heard that men get used to the snug feeling of a girdle after awhile. I have a really sore hip and my lower ribs hurt plus I have a heria by my navel. I have tried my wifes girdle for a hour or so it feels great but then the snugness in the groin is a little uncomforable. Should I just leave the girdles on will I get used to them. Being supported feels better than going without. Is there a company that will help select a girdle in Minnesot other than department stores
